Hyundai Motor India partners with Amara Raja to integrate Made-in-India AGM batteries into its domestic line-up by Q4 FY25. This move boosts localisation efforts and impacts Hyundai Motor India share price.
Hyundai Motor India has announced plans to equip its domestic product line-up with Amaron’s indigenously developed AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) battery technology. The batteries, manufactured by Amara Raja Energy & Mobility, will be used as SLI (Starting, Lighting, and Ignition) batteries and are scheduled for rollout in Q4 of FY25. This makes Hyundai the first Indian automaker to integrate localised AGM technology into its vehicles, aligning with its focus on localisation and innovative solutions for Indian customers.
