NESTLÉ India’s relationship with India began in 1912 as The NESTLÉ Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company (Export) Limited, initially managing the import and sale of finished products. After India’s independence in 1947, the company, aligning with the government’s focus on local production, established its first factory in Moga, Punjab, in 1961 to enhance the milk economy.
This endeavour led to the initiation of NESTLÉ’s Agricultural Services, helping farmers with
advanced dairy farming techniques, irrigation guidance, scientific crop management, and securing bank loans. NESTLÉ also established milk collection centres, ensuring timely and fair remuneration and boosting community confidence in the dairy business. This concerted effort turned Moga into a prosperous milk district and a dynamic industrial centre.
Committed to understanding India’s diverse lifestyle, NESTLÉ India continually strives to meet consumer needs by providing a variety of quality products, from daily consumables to internationally renowned brands like NESCAFÉ and MAGGI. The company’s access to global technology and brand expertise allows it to uphold high standards in its extensive product range.
Today, NESTLÉ India, with eight manufacturing facilities and four branch offices, stands as a testament to its enduring commitment and substantial contribution to India’s economic and community development.
