Point of Presence (POP) Charges for NPS

The Point of Presence (PoPs) are intermediaries which help subscribers open their NPS account and provide services related to it. PoPs exist in the form of banks and financial institutions, which are authorised entities. Subscribers have to pay the following charges for the services provided by PoPs:

₹ 200 - ₹ 400. These charges are collected upfront.

For Processing Contributions

0.5% of a subscriber's contribution amount, subject to a minimum of ₹ 30 and a maximum of ₹ 25,000. These charges are collected upfront.

For Processing Non-Financial Transactions

₹ 30 for each transaction, which is collected upfront.

Persistency Charges (If an active retail customer has spent more than 6 months with a POP, then these charges are applicable)

·  ₹ 50 per year if annual contributions are between ₹ 1,000 and ₹ 2,999.

·  ₹ 75 per year if annual contributions are between ₹ 3,000 and ₹ 6,000.

·  ₹ 100 per year if annual contributions are above ₹ 6,000.

These charges are collected upfront.

Central Recordkeeping Agency (CRA) Charges for NPS in India 

The three authorised CRAs for NPS in India are Protean eGov, CAMS (Computer Age Management Services Ltd.), and KFin Technologies. The fee structures of various CRAs are explained in the table below:
