Payment Terms and Conditions

According to the contract, 90% of the total cost will be disbursed upon the issuance of an Inspection Certificate by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) and proof of dispatch/delivery of the materials.

The remaining 10% will be settled after the receipt, inspection, and acceptance of the goods. This structured payment plan facilitates efficient project execution and ensures quality assurance at every stage.

Project Execution Timeline

The order is scheduled to be executed by March 31, 2026. The timely execution of this order will not only enhance the company's reputation but also contribute significantly to the expansion of railway infrastructure in India.

Enhancing Passenger Facilities

This order comes in the wake of Indian Railways' recent announcement on July 9, regarding the manufacturing of 10,000 non-air-conditioned coaches over the next two fiscal years. This initiative aims to enhance facilities for common passengers, increasing the number of non-AC coaches by 22%.

Oriental Foundry Pvt. Ltd.'s contribution through the supply of BVCM-C wagons aligns with this broader objective of improving passenger amenities and expanding the capacity of the Indian Railways network.

In Conclusion

The ₹432 crore contract secured by Oriental Rail Infrastructure Ltd's subsidiary from Indian Railways is a testament to the company's capabilities in delivering high-quality railway infrastructure.

This project is poised to boost the company's portfolio and support Indian Railways' mission to enhance passenger facilities and operational efficiency.
