State-owned Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) has secured a ₹554.47-crore contract from Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Ltd (K-RIDE) for the construction of nine stations under the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP). The contract covers one elevated and eight at-grade stations across key locations in Bengaluru, enhancing connectivity and public transportation infrastructure.

RVNL received a ₹554.47-crore contract from K-RIDE for BSRP Corridor-4A.
The project includes constructing one elevated and eight at-grade stations.
The scope covers civil, structural, architectural, and E&M works.
The project will be executed over 24 months through a joint venture.
RVNL holds a 51% share in the JV, while Rithwik Projects Private Ltd holds 49%.
Investors track RVNL share price as the company expands its infrastructure footprint.

The contract involves the development of stations at Heelalige, Singena Agrahara, Huskur, Ambedkar Nagar, Carmelaram, Bellandur, Marathahalli, Doddanakundi, and Kaggadasapura. The project will enhance Bengaluru’s suburban rail connectivity, providing improved access for commuters in these high-traffic areas. The scope of work includes civil and structural construction, foot-over bridges, pre-engineered building (PEB) works, and architectural enhancements.
RVNL reported a 13.1% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit for Q3FY25, standing at ₹311.6 crore compared to ₹358.6 crore in the same period last year. Revenue also declined by 2.6% to ₹4,567.4 crore. EBITDA stood at ₹239.4 crore, marking a 3.9% YoY decline. Despite this, the Bengaluru Suburban Rail contract strengthens RVNL’s project pipeline, potentially impacting RVNL share price in the long run.
