What is the process to close my Demat account?

 

To close your Demat and Trading Account with Bajaj Broking through Samadhan, first ensure your account balance is either zero or positive, and that you have no open positions. Then, follow the below steps:

 

  • Log into Samadhan.

  • Click on My Account.

  • In the left-hand menu, select Close Account.

  • Pick a reason for closure from the dropdown, and type something valid in the provided field.

  • Upload a picture of your signature (.jpg, .jpeg, or .png format, and under 5MB).

  • Click Submit to receive an OTP on your registered email and phone number.

  • Enter the OTP and validate it.

  • If you’re holding shares, either clear them or transfer them to another Demat account:

    • Input the 16-digit BOID of the destination account.

    • If it’s a BFSL account, confirm the account holder’s name. For other accounts, you’ll need to upload the CML copy of the account’s DP.

    • Click Submit.

  • A Digio popup will appear to verify your registered mobile number, followed by Aadhar verification.

  • After verifying Aadhar, an e-signed copy of the closure form will be shown. The signature will be attached to the form itself. Review the details.

  • Click Submit to confirm your closure request. Updates regarding your request will start coming in.

 

This process ensures a smooth account closure experience while staying informed about your application status.
