What are futures and options in trading?

Future and options trading are types of trading derivatives that involve contracts based on the value of an underlying asset.

Futures contracts are agreements to buy or sell assets at a set or predetermined price at a specified time in the future. Futures trading is a type of trading that allows you to speculate on price movements of the assets.

On the other hand, Options contracts give the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell assets at a set price within a specific time frame.

Both futures and options trading can be used to manage risk and to seek profit.
