What is a trading journal and how do I keep one?

A trading journal is a record of your investments. It helps you keep track of the stocks you buy and sell. Writing down your investments helps you remember what you did and what you can do better next time. To keep a trading journal, write down:

  • What you bought or sold
  • How much you paid
  • Why you made the investment
  • What you learned
