What is a trailing stop order and how does it work?
A trailing stop order definition is an order to sell a stock when it falls by a certain amount. It helps limit losses. Trailing stop vs stop loss: a stop loss order sells at a fixed price, but a trailing stop order sells at a percentage below the stock's highest price.
Trailing stop order strategy: set a percentage, say 10%. If the stock price falls 10% from its highest price, the trailing stop order sells the stock. Bajaj Broking offers this feature.
Trailing stop vs stop loss: the key difference is flexibility. A trailing stop order adjusts to the stock's highest price, while a stop loss order does not.
