The holiday-shortened trading week kicked off with strong bullish momentum. Benchmarks rallied over two percent, driven by positive global sentiment and risk-on signals from international indices. Volatility eased significantly, with the India VIX plunging by twenty percent, calming the nerves of investors. This surge in optimism followed a conciliatory tone from U.S. President Donald Trump, who announced tariff exemptions on smartphones and computers and hinted at a potential moratorium on auto tariffs. These moves triggered broad-based optimism across global equities.

Technical Outlook

The Nifty's bullish momentum remains intact, with the index now targeting resistance levels at 23,650 and 23,870 over the next one to two weeks. Support holds strong at 23,200.

Sectoral Performance

All sectoral indices ended in the green. Both midcap and smallcap indices posted gains of over three percent, reflecting robust participation beyond large-cap stocks.

Stock Performance
