GM Breweries Limited announced its Q4 FY24-25 financial results on April 15, 2025. The Mumbai-based liquor manufacturer reported a 3.6% YoY growth in revenue, reaching ₹2,550 Cr in FY25 compared to ₹2,450 Cr in FY24. However, profit after tax (PAT) fell 15% YoY, from ₹151 Cr in FY24 to ₹129 Cr in FY25.
The company’s EPS nearly halved to ₹26.47 in Q4 FY25, reflecting the impact of higher input costs and lower gains from investments. GM Breweries also proposed a final dividend of ₹7.5 per equity share, subject to shareholder approval.

Net Profit (FY25): ₹129 Cr, down 15% YoY

This decline in profitability was attributed to higher raw material costs and lower other income, which includes mutual fund gains that were notably higher in the previous year.

GM Breweries operates predominantly in the Country Liquor segment, which contributed to nearly 100% of its revenue. No separate segmental breakdown is reported, indicating a focused single-segment operation.
The liquor and beverages sector has seen a mixed trend with rising input costs and changes in regulatory frameworks. In this context, GM Breweries' moderate revenue growth is in line with expectations, but the sharp fall in PAT may underperform sector benchmarks. The EPS contraction and reduced gains from investments compared to last year are areas of concern for investors.
The management emphasized that the company continues to operate in a single business segment and is committed to creating long-term shareholder value. They attributed the PAT dip partly to fluctuations in investment income, including lower gains from mutual fund units. The proposed dividend of ₹7.5 per share reflects confidence in the company’s cash flows despite the decline in profitability.
