Derivative Market Analysis
Nifty:

The highest open interest (OI) on the call side stands at 24,500, while the highest put OI is at 22,500. A breach below 23,500 will open the door for a downside move towards 23,000.
Notably, significant call writing across strikes above 23,600 reflects strong confidence among call writers in limited upside.
Additionally, Nifty futures OI increased by 7%, indicating fresh short positions. The Put-Call Ratio (PCR) based on OI stands at 0.76, reinforcing a bearish outlook.
Bank Nifty:
As anticipated in the previous note, BankNifty breached the 50,000 level.
Heavy call writing has been observed at the 49,500 and 50,000 strikes.
Yesterday, substantial short positions were added, with a 6% rise in BankNifty futures OI. The PCR OI closed slightly lower at 0.66. These combined indicators suggest the bearish trend in BankNifty is likely to persist in the near term.
