The commodities market today is driven by the improved US inflation data. The 10-year yield rose to 4.30%, and the dollar index slightly increased to 105.15. WTI crude oil dropped 0.9% to $81.61/barrel, while gold rose 0.3% to $2,371/ounce.
10-Year and 2-Year Treasury Yields Rise: On Tuesday, the US 10-year yield increased by 2.9 basis points to 4.30%, and the two-year rate edged up by one basis point to 4.62%.
Dollar Index Slightly Up: The dollar index rose by 0.03% to 105.15, driven by the improved inflation data as noted by Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
Mixed Movements in Crude Oil Prices: West Texas Intermediate crude oil fell by 0.9% to $81.61 per barrel, while Brent crude futures edged up to $84.87 per barrel.
Precious Metals Gain: Gold increased by 0.3% to $2,371 per troy ounce, and silver rose by 0.6% to $31.10 per ounce.
